Every one wants to succeed, but only few taste success. It is not that others can’t succeed. It is the question of fixing the right kind of goal, right kind of preparation and right kind of approach. Here are some tips from the book The 7 Laws of Success.
Law 1 – Fix the Right Goal
The first law of success is to fix the Right goal. To set the right goal requires a proper understanding of what success actually is and understanding your life’s purpose. The goal has to be realistic.
Law 2 – Preparation
The second step toward successfully accomplishing the goal is to Learn the way to acquire the additional education, training, experience to give you the know-how to achieve your goal. A goal that is worthy of a life commitment will certainly entail you transforming yourself. You will need to learn a whole bunch of new things.
Law 3 – Good Health
Man is just what he eats. Some of the most famous physicians have said that 90% of all the sickness and diseases come from faulty diet. This law is wider than just diet; it encompasses doing everything you need to do in order to ensure you remain fit and healthy.
Law 4 – Drive
Success is accomplishment. It is doing. Any dead fish can float downstream but it takes a live one to swim up. An inactive person will not accomplish. Accomplishment is doing. In order to achieve anything we must stay in motion, we must act. Without action, we are not creating the cause from which the desired effects will flow. It is like the flywheel effect: Once the first move is made, the momentum picks up.
Law 5 – Resourcefulness
To succeed, you need to cultivate the ability and the habit of remaining unexcited, yet leaping to action on high tension, reaching the right decision and then acting on it. There are bound to be difficulties along the way. We need to anticipate them and deal with them by staying calm and making the right decisions. When problems arise, you just need to take stock of the situation, be clear about what you are trying to achieve, examine the available options and then make the decision that is the best fit i.e. the one that is in line with your objectives.
Law 6 – Perseverance
Nine in ten come to the place where they have started appearing totally defeated. They give up and quit, when just a little more determined hanging on, little more faith and perseverance and little more Stick-to-it-iveness would have turned apparent certain failure into glorious success. Many people think success would come quickly and easily. When it doesn’t, people tend to think they must be doing something wrong. They start questioning their approach and their systems and in a lot of cases, they give up. In times of difficult situations, perseverance only can take you to the goal.
Law 7 – Faith in You
The Overlooked Seventh law is having faith in self. Unless, one has faith in self, no amount of efforts in applying all other 6 laws would bring in the desired success. Success starts with faith. Let us have faith in ourselves and success would follow.
